West Virginia University has announced a bell-ringing ceremony in memory of Daniel Tripp, a sophomore civil engineering student from Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The event is scheduled for Friday, March 28, and will be organized by the Office of Campus and Community Life along with Alpha Phi Omega, a national service fraternity.

Tripp passed away on November 28, 2024. The remembrance service will take place at noon at Oglebay Plaza. Attendees are requested to gather near the bell of the USS West Virginia at least 15 minutes before the ceremony begins. The university extends an invitation to family, friends, and members of the university community to join in honoring Tripp's memory.
