The West Virginia University Board of Governors has selected a leading candidate for the position of the University's 27th president. The decision was made during a regular meeting held on Thursday, February 20, at the Erickson Alumni Center.
Rick Pill, Chair of the Board of Governors, stated, "At a time when the higher education landscape is changing, we think that this person can best lead West Virginia University — the state’s flagship university — forward and serve as its 27th president."
Pill further mentioned that they aim to make a public announcement about the new president once a contract is finalized. "We hope to make a public announcement informing our WVU community and the citizens of our state who our next president will be as soon as a contract is signed," he added.
