Three new members join WVU Foundation board

Three West Virginia University supporters with successful careers in investments and executive management were elected to the WVU Foundation Board of Directors at its annual meeting.

Erika Cramer, who graduated from WVU in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in finance from the College of Business and Economics, will serve a two-year unexpired term. She is co-founder and managing partner at How Women Invest LLC, a gender lens venture firm investing in tech-enabled start-ups. Cramer lives in San Anselmo, California.

Christine “Christy” Hayhurst Davis of Morgantown will serve a three-year term. Davis earned her bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from WVU in 2007. She is president of Hundred Resources Inc., in Fairmont, providing expertise in production and distribution, leasing, contracts, land management, finance, accounting, mergers and acquisitions, and state laws related to oil and natural gas.

Dave Gruver is director of sales for the UGG fashion brand in North America. He is a 1987 graduate of North Carolina Wesleyan College, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration. While based in New York, Gruver splits his time between New York City and Morgantown. He will serve a three-year term.

Reelected to the Board were George Bicher (’80) of Greenwich, Connecticut; Susan Brewer of Morgantown; Kim Craig (’77) of Morgantown; Terri Hornsby (’86) of Richmond, Texas; Kerri Knotts (’94) of Woodlands, Texas; Jane McNeer (’75) of Durham, North Carolina; Alexis Pugh (’73) of Winter Park, Florida; William “Bill” Sheedy (’80) of San Mateo, California; and Kevin Sidow (’81) of Pittsburgh. Brewer also was elected to a one-year term as the Board’s secretary.

Ex-officio (non-voting) members of the Board reelected to serve one-year terms include WVU President Gordon Gee, WVU Health System President and CEO Albert Wright Jr., and WVU Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Paula Congelio.

Outgoing member Marcia Broughton (’76,’79)of Clarksburg was honored for 15 years service to the Board including 14 years as the Board’s secretary.
