The leaves are quickly changing to vibrant reds, oranges and yellows around Mountaineer Country, and the festive family events are never ending. Enjoy all the fun, thrills, and spooktacular activities this October has in store here. With events happening every week, there will not be a bored soul around. Fall save the dates

  • Fifth Annual Hops on the Mon, 3-7 p.m. Saturday.
Each year, Hops on the Mon Craft Beer and Food Festival returns with a new, challenging theme for restaurants to craft a new dish for. Spend the day listening to live music, trying craft beers from local and international breweries, and tasting food from some of the best restaurants around, without leaving town. This year’s theme features sausages in the “Bangers and Mash Bash” contest, and every restaurant is battling for your vote to win.

  • Home for the Holiday Craft Show at Mylan Park, 10 a.m. Oct. 21-22.
With more than 180 booths featuring crafts, florals, clothing, candles, pottery and more, you are sure to find the perfect unique gifts for the upcoming holiday season. Crafters and artisans from all over West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Maryland are coming to this two-day craft show event to feature their handmade goods.

  • WV Vintage Fest, noon Oct. 23.
Brought to you by Gallery 304, this free Vintage Fest is the perfect place to revamp your fall and winter wardrobe! Featuring more than 40 vendors and local food trucks, you don’t want to miss this opportunity to take home a one-of-a-kind piece.

  • Downtown Morgantown Haunted Walk, 8:30 p.m. Oct. 21, 22 and 27.
The Haunted Morgantown Walk is returning this year. Join the tour to hear the local history and the infamous stories about Morgantown. Learn about Civil War stories and the victims who still walk the streets of the city. Take a step back in time on this historical walk through our beloved city this Halloween season.

Visit Mountaineer Country Convention and Visitors Bureau (VMCCVB) currently has three open board of directors’ seats in the areas of food and beverage (1), lodging (1) and the hospitality industry (1).
