Iyahnna Williams Named to All-MEC Second Team
As teams prepare for the Mountain East Conference Tournament this Wednesday, The MEC has released their all conference teams for the 2022-23 season. The All-MEC teams are selected by the 12 conference coaches. Junior forward Iyahnna Williams was named to the all-MEC second team for the Battlers. Iyahnna Williams, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, led the team in scoring averaging 17.7 points per game. She also led the team in rebounds (195), Blocks ( 23), Steals (53), and assists (75). In the 21 games Williams played, she had 7 double-doubles and scored double-digit points in 19 games with a season-high of 33 points against Shepherd University. In the MEC Conference, she ranked 5th in PPG, 9th in rebounds, 11th in assists, 8th in steals, 7th in blocks, and 7th in minutes played. "This is an exciting time for our program and Iyahnna. Iyahnna has played her entire career at AB and has gotten better each year. I have enjoyed coaching Iyahnna and I know she has a bright future ahead." Said Coach Ta-Rel Franklin
