The West Virginia University tennis team lost to No. 37 Kansas on April 4 at the Jayhawk Tennis Center.

This match is part of the team’s ongoing season and affects their overall standing as they continue their road trip.

Kansas won the doubles point by taking matches on courts one and three, while the second court’s match was left unfinished. In singles play, Kansas secured victories in three matches to clinch a 4-0 win, with three other singles contests left unfinished after the result was decided.

In doubles, Anna Putilina and Yerke Arystanbekova from Kansas defeated Audrey Moutama and Julie Bousseau of West Virginia, while Meriem Ben Ezzedine and Kyoka Kubo (Kansas) beat Lyla Byers and Sosanne Malaak (WVU). The remaining doubles match did not finish. In singles action, Kyoka Kubo (Kansas) overcame Audrey Moutama (WVU), Yerke Arystanbekova (Kansas) beat Julie Bousseau (WVU), and Meg McCarty (Kansas) won against Lucia Tognoni (WVU). The other singles matches were stopped once Kansas had clinched victory.
