The West Virginia University golf team will participate in the Big 12 Golf Championship from April 27 to April 29 in Hutchinson, Kansas. The event will take place at Prairie Dunes Country Club on a par-70 course measuring 7,025 yards.

The championship will be played over three days and include a total of 72 holes. On Monday, teams are scheduled to play two rounds for a total of 36 holes, followed by one round each on Tuesday and Wednesday. Pairings for the competition will start from both the No. 1 and No. 10 tees during each round.

West Virginia is set to play alongside Colorado, Cincinnati, and Houston, with their first tee time at No. 10 scheduled for Monday at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time. The second round will begin immediately after the completion of the first round.

Seniors Westy McCabe and Kaleb Wilson are joined by sophomores Aidan Dortch (as substitute), Ryan Leach, Nick Turowski, and freshman Jack Michael as part of West Virginia’s lineup. Wilson is making his fourth appearance at this championship while McCabe competes for the third time; Leach was an alternate last season.

“Prairie Dunes always presents a unique challenge with steady winds, tall fescue rough and very quick, undulating green complexes,” coach Sean Covich said. “The number one focus this week will be handling adversity. If we can do that, we will be fine. Looking forward to competing in one of the best conference championships in all of college golf!”
