The West Virginia University tennis team will conclude its regular season at home with two Big 12 Conference matches, according to an April 9 announcement. The Mountaineers are set to face No. 36 Houston on Friday, April 10 at 5 p.m., followed by a match against No. 18 UCF on Sunday, April 12 at 10 a.m., which will also serve as Senior Day.

These final home matches are significant for the Mountaineers as they aim to end their regular season with strong performances and recognize the contributions of their senior players. Sunday’s match against UCF will include Senior Day festivities prior to the start of play.

In their most recent outing, West Virginia lost a close contest at Iowa State with a score of 4-2. Laura Villanueva Morillo and Julie Bousseau secured singles victories for the Mountaineers during that match.

West Virginia holds an all-time record of three wins and no losses against Houston, including a narrow victory last year by a score of 4-3. The upcoming matches provide opportunities for both competitive results and community engagement, as fans attending Sunday’s match can enter for a chance to win prizes such as a PlayStation 5 console and a television.

Live statistics will be available for both matches, with live streaming offered if play moves indoors due to weather conditions. Additional information about the team can be found on WVUsports.com or through WVUTennis social media channels.
