The West Virginia Mountaineers announced on Apr. 3 that their upcoming baseball game against the University of Central Florida, originally scheduled for Saturday, April 4, will now begin at 2 p.m. Eastern Time because of a forecast predicting bad weather.

The change in schedule is intended to avoid possible disruptions caused by inclement weather and ensure the safety and comfort of players and fans.

Fans who have tickets for Saturday’s game can use their existing tickets for entry at the new start time. The Mountaineers said this adjustment will not affect ticket validity or seating arrangements.

For ongoing updates about the team, supporters are encouraged to follow @WVUBaseball on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

This scheduling change reflects how athletic programs adapt plans in response to unpredictable weather conditions in order to prioritize safety while maintaining scheduled events.
