WASHINGTON, D.C - Congressman Alex X. Mooney expressed strong criticism towards President Joe Biden's visit to the Southern Border, citing concerns over the impact of Biden's border policies. Mooney highlighted the detrimental effects of these policies, stating, "The Biden border crisis is impacting all of us. No community in West Virginia is safe from the scourge of deadly fentanyl pouring across our Southern Border, or the violence brought by illegal immigrants."

Mooney further emphasized the consequences of President Biden's actions, pointing to specific cases such as the tragic murder of 22-year-old nursing student Laken Riley by an illegal immigrant from Venezuela. Mooney lamented that under President Trump, Laken's murderer would have been required to remain in Mexico, but President Biden's policies allowed for the individual to stay in the United States.

Regarding the current state of the border, Mooney asserted, "President Biden can shut down the border, but instead he intentionally opened the gates and releases thousands of dangerous criminal illegal immigrants every day." He called for decisive action, urging the Senate to pass the Secure our Border Act in order to restore order and implement stricter border control measures.

In conclusion, Congressman Mooney's statements reflect a strong stance against President Biden's handling of the border situation and advocate for a return to what he perceives as more effective policies under the Trump administration.
