2021 has 5.4% of Harrison County residents unemployed

Harrison County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.4% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,676 people out of the 66,222 living in Harrison County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Harrison County has decreased compared to the 5.8% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Harrison County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 6.4%.

Of the 29,403 people who had a job during that time, 39 were employed in the Armed Forces and 29,364 belonged to the civilian labor force.
