MEC Announces Fall Academic Honors
The Mountain East conference revealed its All-MEC Academic Teams and the Commissioner's Honor Roll for the fall 2022 semester on Tuesday (Jan. 17). The list includes sports that competed in their championship in the fall (football, men's cross country, volleyball, women's cross country, and women's soccer).
To be a member of the All-MEC Academic Team, the student-athlete must be a member of the active roster and have a grade-point average of 3.70-4.00 in the semester of their championship season. To qualify for the Commissioner's Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a member of the active roster and post a grade-point average between 3.25-3.69 in the semester of their championship season.
"We are extremely proud of the academic success of our student-athletes and their recognition on the MEC Fall 2022 Academic Teams," Athletic Director Carrie Bodkins said. "This shows the commitment of our student-athletes in the classroom and the importance placed on academic excellence with our programs, department, and the University."
Alderson Broaddus Athletics had a total of 68 student-athletes recognized.
