Worsening Weather Conditions:
As of 7AM 12/23/22, temperatures have reached the point where salt is becoming less and less effective. The hills in town were kept clear all night with salt, but now we are seeing a lot of blowing snow and conditions have begun to worsen. Please use caution driving on the hills during the storm. Previously clear areas could freeze quickly in the severe temperatures. The City Offices are closed today, but the Street Department and Chester PD are monitoring the situation. Please use caution when leaving the house today.
