Four Battlers Earn All-Conference Honors

Alderson Broaddus had one player named to the All-MEC Second Team and three players named to the All-MEC Honorable Mention team."I am very excited for these four individuals to be recognized by the Mountain East Conference. It is a testament to all of the hard work these guys have put in during the offseason and throughout the year. These guys not only were great on the field, but provided key leadership as we continue to grow as a program here at Alderson Broaddus," stated Head Coach Travis Everhart.

Wide Reciever Marvin Sims was named to the All-MEC Second Team after catching 37 balls for a totals of 777 yards. The freshman from Miami, FL  added six touchdowns in four games. "As a true freshman he really excelled from day one to the end of the season. I was excited to see the amount of production which was hard due to injuries at the quarterback position all year. Marvin worked hard and led a great group of young receivers. He has a great football IQ and we are looking for huge things out of him in the near future."

He really worked tirelessly to perfect his craft on a daily basis. He was the first guy that I signed here and was a great addition from day one. Very proud of how he played and led our program throughout his Senior year."

He did a great job leading our secondary, was fast and physical and loves to hit guys. He was also great in our return game on special teams. Another guy with a bright future."
