City of Clarksburg Police Officer

CITY OF CLARKSBURG POLICE OFFICER

Sign-on incentive offered: $7,500 for WV Certified Police Officers

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:

  • 18 years old and not more than 40 years old on date of application
  • High school diploma/GED
  • United States citizen
  • Successfully complete physical ability test & written aptitude test (dates and information below)
Starting pay for a probationary Police Officer is $45,869.  After the one (1) year probation period, Police Officers will receive an annual salary of $49,764.

DATE: SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 2022
TIME: 9:00 A.M.
PLACE: ROBERT C. BYRD HIGH SCHOOL, One Eagle Way, Clarksburg, WV 
(Written aptitude test to follow on the same date)

NOTICE OF  PHYSICAL ABILITY TEST & WRITTEN APTITUDE TEST

DATE: SATURDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2022 
TIME: 9:00 A.M.
PLACE: ROBERT C. BYRD HIGH SCHOOL, One Eagle Way, Clarksburg, WV 
(Written aptitude test to follow on the same date)

NOTICE OF  PHYSICAL ABILITY TEST & WRITTEN APTITUDE TEST

DATE: SATURDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2022
TIME: 9:00 A.M.
PLACE: ROBERT C. BYRD HIGH SCHOOL, One Eagle Way, Clarksburg, WV 
(Written aptitude test to follow on the same date)

Physical ability requirements are available online here.

It is recommended that applicants wear comfortable clothes and shoes for this testing.  All applicants must present photo identification and sign a Release at the time of the Physical Ability Test.
