Davis & Elkins shut down Concord University and found the net five times in the second half of a 6-0 win Wednesday evening at Nuttall Field.
Alex Estrada-Avila scored in the first half on a penalty kick. The goal, Estrada's fifth on the season, was proved to be the game-winner and the start of an offensive explosion.
In the second half, Daniel Cerezo scored the second and third goals of the contest. Manuel Castrejon and Anderson Marroquin provided the assists.
In the eightieth minute, Haruki Yamazaki scored off a Yavi Ortiz to put the Senators up 4-0.
A minute later, Estrada scored again to put the Senators up 5-0. Soshi Fujioka provided the assist.
Less than a minute after the Estrada goal, Fujioka fed Juan Cardona a pass for Cardona's first goal of the season and when time ran out, D&E had earned the 6-0 win.
With the win, D&E moves to 11-1-0 overall and 10-1-0 in the Mountain East Conference.
