The city is accepting resumes/applications for the full-time position of Administrative Assistant in the Public Works Department for the City of Clarksburg. This individual will work under the direct supervision of the Public Works Superintendent. This position provides administrative, technical, and clerical support for public works while also responding to public requests, questions, and complaints. Duties also include accurately reporting payroll for the department. Maintains confidentiality of all information and performs duties in compliance with departmental orders, directives and policies and promoting an image of professional courtesy as a representative of the City of Clarksburg.
Applicants must have a high school or equivalent education with above average grammatical skills enabling performance of daily activities. This position requires two years of experience (or equivalent training and experience) in secretarial skills providing the ability to type, use a computer, and operate ordinary office machinery. Salary for this position is dependent on the level of experience.
