Cost of college went up for all students at United Technical Center

Tuition and fees rose 11.4 percent for 2018-19 at United Technical Center, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

West Virginia students paid $3,900 to attend the public school this year – $400 more than the $3,500 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 80 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 8 students received grants or scholarships totaling $45,050.

Including all undergraduates (28), 20 students used grants or scholarships totaling $119,013.
