43 percent of applicants to Alderson Broaddus University were admitted for fall 2018

At Alderson Broaddus University, 93 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 54 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Philippi enrolled 911 students in fall 2018, including 836 in undergraduate and 75 in graduate programs, data shows. 7.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

30 percent of undergraduates are residents of West Virginia, and 68 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (64 percent) and Black or African American (23 percent).

The school admitted 43 percent of the 3,988 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 15 percent enrolled.
