Sharron Young, the distinguished Morgantown High School alumnus, took the court Tuesday, March 3, as the Akron Zips secured a 77-64 victory against the Central Michigan Chippewas.
The 6-foot sophomore guard tallied 11 points, five steals and handed out two assists in 24 minutes of play.
Next on Young’s schedule: Akron will face the Northern Illinois Huskies at home on Friday, March 6 at 5 p.m.
West Virginia University has opened online requests for NCAA baseball postseason tickets if selected as host. Season ticket holders and Mountaineer Athletic Club members have priority access until May 24. Student ticket distribution details have also been announced.
