One running event is scheduled in the North Central West Virginia during the week ending April 24, providing an opportunity for adult participants to compete in organized races and maintain an active lifestyle.

Men’s basketball teams from Marion County received $761,969 during the 2024 season, up 9.1% from the previous year.
Lauren Duncan will join West Virginia University’s women’s volleyball team as a freshman setter for the 2026 season. Coach Jen Greeny praised Duncan’s experience and leadership skills while Duncan expressed excitement about joining the program.
West Virginia University has opened online requests for NCAA baseball postseason tickets if selected as host. Season ticket holders and Mountaineer Athletic Club members have priority access until May 24. Student ticket distribution details have also been announced.
