Rep. Riley M. Moore, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from West Virginia, marked several anniversaries and policy priorities in a series of posts on April 2, 2026.
In his first post of the day, Moore commemorated the anniversary of Pope John Paul II’s death by sharing a message about faith: “Do not be afraid! Open up your hearts to Christ!
The deepest joy there is in life is the joy that comes from God and is found in Jesus Christ, the son of God.”
21 years ago today, Pope John Paul II entered his eternal reward.
Pope St John Paul the Great, pray for us!” (April 2, 2026).
Later that afternoon, Moore reflected on what he called “Liberation Day,” crediting President Biden for supporting American workers and families: “The era of economic surrender is over!
Today is the one year anniversary of ‘Liberation Day.’ Thank you @POTUS for putting America’s workers and families first.
West Virginians won’t forget you fighting for us.” (April 2, 2026).
In another post on April 2, Moore highlighted his participation at The Hill & Valley Forum. He referenced his background as a welder and advocated for workforce development initiatives: “At The Hill & Valley Forum, I drew on my experience as a welder and spoke about the urgent need to better train and equip America’s workforce for the future.
My Jumpstart Savings Act is the solution—creating a tax-free pathway for Americans to save for the tools, licensing…” (April 2, 2026).
Moore has been active in promoting policies aimed at improving economic opportunities in West Virginia. His Jumpstart Savings Act seeks to provide tax advantages to help individuals entering skilled trades afford necessary expenses such as tools and licensing fees.
