Jasper Floyd named to CSC Academic All-District men’s basketball team

West Virginia University senior guard Jasper Floyd has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) 2025-26 Academic All-District Men’s Basketball Team, according to a March 24 announcement.

The recognition highlights student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically. The award is considered an important honor for those who balance classroom achievements with athletic performance.

Floyd, from Tampa, Florida, received this distinction for the first time in his career. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in executive sport management at West Virginia University.

During the current season, Floyd started all 32 games for the Mountaineers. He averaged 7.2 points and 3.2 assists per game and led his team in steals with a total of 61.

The College Sports Communicators Academic All-District award recognizes top student-athletes nationwide for their combined performances on the court and in academic pursuits.
