Former Morgantown High School basketball standout Lily Jordan and her collegiate team, the IUP Crimson Hawks, secured a 65-64 victory over the Winston-Salem State Rams in the NCAA Division II Tournament on Monday, March 16.
The contest began at 7 p.m. at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex.
The Crimson Hawks are set to play their next game Tuesday, March 24, at 2:30 p.m. at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
Men’s basketball teams from Marion County received $761,969 during the 2024 season, up 9.1% from the previous year.
Lauren Duncan will join West Virginia University’s women’s volleyball team as a freshman setter for the 2026 season. Coach Jen Greeny praised Duncan’s experience and leadership skills while Duncan expressed excitement about joining the program.
West Virginia University has opened online requests for NCAA baseball postseason tickets if selected as host. Season ticket holders and Mountaineer Athletic Club members have priority access until May 24. Student ticket distribution details have also been announced.
