Gower’s Fairmont State team falls to IUP in Division II NCAA tournament

Fairmont State Fighting Falcons, featuring former Fairmont Senior High School standout Connor Gower, were defeated 89-83 by the IUP Crimson Hawks in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament held Saturday, March 14.

The opening-round game in the tournament was played at Highmark Events Center at 12 p.m., marking the teams’ first meeting in the event.
