Four West Virginia rifle athletes receive Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association honors

Four members of the West Virginia University rifle team received a total of eight All-America honors from the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association, according to an announcement on March 26.

The recognition highlights individual achievements during the season and underscores the team’s ongoing success in collegiate rifle competitions.

Griffin Lake was awarded first-team honors in aggregate, smallbore, and air rifle. Lake’s season averages ranked among the top in the nation, with his aggregate and smallbore scores both second best nationally and his air rifle score sixth. Jennifer Kocher earned three honors: second team in smallbore and honorable mentions for both aggregate and air rifle. Camryn Camp was named honorable mention in smallbore, while Ashlyn Blake achieved honorable mention status in air rifle.

Lake also received the CRCA Most Valuable Shooter award at the conclusion of the 2026 NCAA Rifle National Championship. The organization stated that Scholastic All-American selections will be announced at the end of the academic year.

The Mountaineers’ program has accumulated a total of 512 All-American honors throughout its history, including 255 first-team selections, 186 second-team selections, and 71 third-team or honorable mentions. More information about West Virginia University athletics can be found on WVUsports.com.
