Fairmont State tops IUP 11-10 in NCAA Division II softball matchup

At 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, former Morgantown High School standout Micah Wilson helped the Fairmont State Fighting Falcons secure an 11-10 victory over the IUP Crimson Hawks in NCAA Division II softball play.

The contest was held at Ruth Podbielski Field and marked the second meeting this season between the teams. In their earlier encounter on Tuesday, Feb. 24, the Fighting Falcons claimed a 5-1 win over the Crimson Hawks.

Wilson pitched 4.2 innings, giving up four earned runs, with two walks and one strikeout.

The Fighting Falcons are set for their next game Friday, Feb. 27, at 2 p.m. at Duvall-Rosier Field when they take on the California Vulcans.
