The Alderson Broaddus are traveling down to Myrtle Beach, SC this weekend to compete in the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge. This meet will open up the 2023 outdoor season.

The Battlers have have individuals competing in various events over the weekend.
Friday the participants are as followed-
Hammer Throw- Micah Harrison, Cedric Carter, Jacob Sharp
Long Jump- Justice Washington
Javelin Throw- Harrison, Carter, Sharp
100m- Devon Napier, Calin Blunt, Jomel Monpas, Isaiah Jean, Abiodun Soneye, Bellela Colas, Shaam Al-Natour, Braley Murphy, Olivia Kqira
100mH- Kaylie Laskody
4x800m Relay- Shelton Bass, Nathan Jacobs, Alexander Cockerham, Vernon Smith, Trinity Bumbry, Colas, Nykia Fort, Layla James
4x200m Relay- Soneye, Jameal Boykin, Andrew Nephew, Jonathan Nagalo

The teams that will be competing with Alderson Broaddus in this meet will be Alfred University, Allen University, Belmont Abbey College, Bethany College, bob Jones University, Coastal Carolina University, College of Charleston, concord University, Francis Marion University, Geneva College, Husson University, Messiah University, NC Flight Club, North Greenville University, Penn West Clarion University, Piedmont College, Shawnee State University, Slippery Rock University, St. Andrews University, Swarthmore College, The Citadel, Thomas College, Trinity Christian College, Truett- McConnell University, University of New Haven, USC Aiken, William Peace University, and Wilmington University. 

The Battlers are looking to continue bettering their performances as they did during the indoor season this weekend.

The meet starts at 10:00 AM on both Friday, and Saturday.

West Virginia University baseball beat No. 7 Kansas, led by Maxx Yehl’s complete game pitching effort. Key offensive contributions came from Gavin Kelly and Tyrus Hall as WVU secured its first win over a top-10 opponent since 2022.
